A semi-guided, end of January, meditation for gratitude.
What are you proud of this month?
I am proud of my persistence. I am proud of myself for continuing to try everyday and to choose to continue.
Life is about the experience, so choosing to participate is the best possible thing anyone can do.
What has your rest looked like?
Organizing my seeds and creating a plan. I am just lucky enough that it is as much practical as it is enjoyable. The satisfying moments of laying everything on the ground and sorting is actually life-giving for me.
How did you prioritize your health and well-being?
I brushed my teeth every day and stopped what I was doing if I was becoming overwhelmed. This seems like the basics but it is still worth noting.
What can you do to prioritize your health and well-being better next month?
Taking more naps during the day and drinking more fluids. Also taking enough time for myself to explore my interests.
Where have you succeeded in something you had hoped for?
I really wanted to get serious about the garden and I really did. I also hoped to make this house a home and I finally hung up the decor! That was a really big win this month and I appreciate it every day.
Success doesn’t have to be confined to “product”. If life is really about the experience, prioritizing what actually interests you is just as important as doing what makes sense as a “mature and responsible adult.” Because of this, picking flowers and showing up to work are just as important. Especially when picking flowers can be the thing that keeps you from burning out at work.
Interests and hobbies are reflections of who we are and what we think. If you don’t spend time in the “hobby room,” you will never know the beautiful creation you are and what your potential can be. This is the freedom to go and be you.
I hope you all had an amazing January. This month isn’t over, however, it is SOW’s last blog for the month.
So I hope you all
take care,
Jacqueline Marie
